goodbye, old friend…

  1. This was just a quick slide show of the Old Crosby Mint Farm Barn. The property it sat on is just across the street from your friendly Walmart Super Center and is currently for sale. Every farm and house that I knew as a youngster have all been torn down, burned, etc….progress at it’s finest. My family chose to let it deteriorate and it came down in last June’s terrible storm. After attending the MI Barn Preservation Network Conference last week, I decided I had to do something. I understand it’s important to detach from material things at certain times. (?) On Labor Day, 2008 we torched it…along with it, a part of each of us went with it. We keep wonderful memories in our hearts and minds. Good bye, old friend.

    1. I was very caught up in the burning of the barn being a a restorer of houses fixing and repairing rather than building all new. New does not mean bigger and better. I love some of the old character that (old friends) have like that barn. I felt like crying but didn’t maybe because I am so agitated with the Banksters and the things they are trying to do to you and you have had enough. I pray the Father in Heaven will protect you and destroy his enemies. Your enemies are His enemies and know he will fight your battle. The battle is His we are just his soldiers and we know who wins in the end. I read the end of the book “God (YHVH) Wins!!!! There is no other ending possible. Our Creator has a plan and we are part of it we have to stand against the evil one and He will fight for us Eph 6:13-24
      13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

      14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

      15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

      16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

      17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

      18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

      19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

      20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

      21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:

      22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.

      23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

      24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
      Peace and Blessings

  2. While I know how necessary it can be to let go of things, this video brought tears to my eyes. I do not know you or your family, but I can see so much history in that barn.

    I’m hoping orders have come flooding in for the drams of oil.

    1. Hi Shannon,
      I am over 3 years late. I just now read your comment? Thank you for your kind words of hope. A lot has happened since you posted here. You may have followed the story? You are so right, it is necessary at times to let go…we did let go, and then the farm came back to us 7 months later!! We now hold barn dances to celebrate!…blessings to you as well.
      Expect miracles…
